Do the doors swing out into the room?

No. The two doors glide in their tracks — one up, one down — so neither swings out into the room.

Can I keep the cabinet open while I cook or get ready?

Yes. The doors stay within the cabinet's own footprint, so you can leave it open for continuous access in the kitchen or bathroom.

Is Balance suitable for small kitchens, bathrooms and hallways?

Yes — it's a slim, space-saving wall cabinet designed for tight layouts and narrow walkways.

What is the oak dowel used for?

The removable oak dowel adds flexible utility — hang a hand towel, S-hooks or a paper roll from it.

Can I install it in a bathroom?

Yes — just avoid direct water exposure and keep normal ventilation, as you would with any furniture.

Can I route cables inside the cabinet for charging?

Yes. Small openings at the top and bottom let power cords pass through, so you can charge a shaver or phone while keeping cables tidy.

How is it mounted?

Mark the holes, drill, insert the included wall plugs and screws, and fix the cabinet securely to the wall. An installation guide is included.

How do I care for the surface?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For spills, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry straight away. Avoid abrasive or solvent-based cleaners. To revive the finish over time, refresh it with Rubio Monocoat® Refresh as directed — always test a small, inconspicuous area first.

Is custom colour or sizing available?

Not at the moment. Balance is offered in one fixed size and seven set colours, which keeps the quality consistent.

We bought three products for our new home. We're using the "Balance" cabinet as a medicine cabinet in a spot where a cabinet with regular doors simply wouldn't fit. It works perfectly. Our everyday shoes are neatly stored in the "Grounded" unit just inside the door. It looks great and works really well.
