The Bjørk series in birch plywood
We leave the birch plywood raw. The layers in the frame make it strong, and the striped edge stands out against the colourful Valchromat® surfaces.

Handcrafted in Copenhagen
Every table is built to order in our Copenhagen micro-factory, and many stool sizes and colours are kept in stock. Every piece is sanded and oiled by hand.

Made for daily use
Our stools and tables are finished with plant-based Rubio Monocoat®. If a glass leaves a ring, it can be sanded away and the spot re-oiled.
Birch plywood
The strength of layers
Bjørk is Danish for birch, and the Bjørk series is built so you can see what it is made of. We use furniture-grade birch plywood for the frames because it stays stable and has a striped edge worth showing. The seats are Valchromat®, the tabletop is birch plywood and Valchromat® layered together, and both are finished with plant-based Rubio Monocoat® oil, which gives a surface that resists moisture and is soft to the touch. The result is light to move and made to last.
Minimalist birch plywood tables & stools in Danish design
In Scandinavian furniture, the material decides a lot about how a piece looks. Our Tables & Seating collection is built in birch plywood rather than solid wood. The Bjørk Dining Table has a sturdy birch plywood frame and a top of birch plywood and Valchromat® that makes every meal a little more colourful.
Our Bjørk stools show the same contrast: light birch layers under a seat in deep-toned Valchromat®. These designer plywood stools come in three heights and double as side tables in a kitchen, hallway or office. All our handcrafted Danish tables and seating is made in our Copenhagen micro-factory.
