I have just received the Balance cabinet and I am absolutely thrilled with it. It complements my bathroom wall perfectly and adds a quirky yet elegant touch to the space. The communication with the company went very smoothly and was a pleasure throughout. 5/5.

About Balance
Balance – A wall cabinet for tight spaces
Balance is built for spots where a standard cabinet door would swing into the room or block a narrow walkway. Its two doors slide vertically instead: one up, one down.
Doors that slide, never swing
The two doors glide in milled tracks — one slides up, the other down — and stay exactly where you leave them. No swinging hinges, no slamming. You can leave the cabinet open while you get ready or find your keys, without bumping your head or blocking the hallway.
Shelves you can move
Inside are three movable shelves you can reposition to suit what you're storing, or remove entirely to make room for tall bottles. Beneath the cabinet sits a removable solid oak rail, for a hand towel in the bathroom or a tea towel in the kitchen (S-hooks not included).
Keep the cables out of sight
Cable outlets in the top and bottom let you charge a shaver, electric toothbrush or phone inside the cabinet, with the cords hidden instead of running down the wall.
Through-coloured Valchromat®, made to order in Copenhagen
Balance is hand-built from Valchromat®, a wood fibre board coloured all the way through and moisture-resistant enough for the bathroom. Choose from seven colours, and every cabinet is made to order by hand in our Copenhagen micro-factory.

How it works
The doors slide. They don’t swing.
-
1Pull the grip downThe lower door slides down, and a cord over a pulley lifts the upper one. Both stay where you let go.
-
2Move the shelvesThe three shelves can be moved or taken out, so tall bottles fit too.
-
3Only 14 cm deepNothing swings out into the room. Beneath the cabinet is an oak rail for a towel.
Dimensions & sizes
40 × 74 cm and only 14 cm deep

What Our Customers Are Saying
Tasteful and functional
We bought 3 products for our new house. We use "Balance" as a medicine cabinet in a spot where we could barely fit a cabinet with ordinary doors. It works really well. Our everyday shoes sit just inside the door in "Grounded". Neat, and it works. Finally we have a "Wasteless" shelf in the bathroom. All of it in the blue colour with beautiful oak dowels. It is functional, and we feel it adds a unique style to our home.
A very functional and beautiful cabinet
We bought the Balance cabinet in the lovely blue version. It is beautiful craftsmanship, very functional and very beautiful. Warmly recommended.
The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant
I have had the pleasure of shopping at Quirky Moose several times, and every time has been a great success! I have bought two stools, and they are not only stylish in lovely colours, they are also incredibly practical. They move around the house a bit and get used as a plant stand, a bedside table for overnight guests and, of course, as a stool. We also had custom fronts made for a whole wall of cabinets that needed an update, and the result is simply fantastic. Stig is full of creative ideas and gives a personal service at the same time. The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant. Top quality, and all of it sustainable 👌🏼
Fantastic experience with Quirkymoose!
We recently bought a Nic Nac trinket shelf from Quirkymoose, and we could not be happier! The shelf is both stylish and practical, and it fits perfectly into our home. The quality is really high, and it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Delivery was fast, and the service from start to finish was excellent. We can warmly recommend Quirkymoose to anyone looking for beautiful and functional furniture. We are sure we will come back to them when we need more furniture in the future!
