What is Quirky Moose?

Quirky Moose is a furniture brand based in Copenhagen. We design, engineer, and build our pieces in small batches in our workshop, combining playful design, high craftsmanship, and materials made to last.

Where are you located?

Our workshop and base of operations is in Copenhagen. Our business address is Vasbygade 10A, 2450 København SV, Denmark.

What kind of furniture and home pieces do you offer?

We offer a variety of designs including wall-mounted shelves, seating, cabinets, racks, and unique shelf systems built around memory framing — e.g. our NicNac shelves, the Balance cabinet, Grounded shoe racks, the Wasteless adjustable wall shelf, and more. Each piece is thoughtfully designed for both aesthetics and function.

What materials do you use in your furniture?

We use high‑quality materials such as Valchromat, solid oak, birch plywood, and machined metal details (brass, copper, steel) depending on the design. All materials are chosen for durability, visual richness, and longevity.

Do you ship outside Denmark / internationally?

Yes — we ship to the European Union. For orders within the EU, shipping is included (free shipping).

How does shipping work for larger furniture pieces?

For pieces too large for normal parcel delivery, we use freight / carrier services. When that’s the case, delivery will be to the curb (street level) unless otherwise arranged. Additional charges may apply for deliveries to non–mainland or hard-to-reach locations.

Do you accept custom sizes or special requests?

Yes! Many of our pieces can be customized in size or configuration. If you have a space with particular dimensions or a custom vision, just reach out with your measurements or idea — we’ll let you know what’s possible, how it affects lead time, and the cost before you commit.

What finishes and colour options do you offer?

We maintain a curated palette of finishes that reflect our aesthetic and material integrity. We often offer through-colored colored Fiber Board (e.g. Valchromat), natural wood tones, and metal accents. If there is a special tone or finish you’d like, you’re welcome to ask — we’ll explore the options with you.

How difficult is the assembly?

We design our products for relatively easy assembly. Most pieces are shipped either fully assembled or in modular kits with instructions and required hardware. If you ever feel stuck, you can reach out and we’ll guide you through it.

What is your return policy?

As a consumer, you have 30 days from the day you receive a product to notify us if you wish to cancel (withdraw). Once you notify us, you have 14 days to return the items. Please contact us first (by email or via the standard withdrawal form) for instructions.

The refund is processed using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed. Please note that if the product has depreciated in value due to use beyond what is necessary to inspect it, we may deduct for that when issuing your refund.

What about warranty and defects?

Beyond the legal rights under Danish and EU consumer law, we provide a 5‑year warranty against manufacturing defects. If something is wrong due to materials or workmanship within that period, we will repair or replace the item (depending on circumstance) at no extra charge.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or deterioration due to lack of proper care. If you notice an issue, contact us as soon as possible — we’ll find a solution together.

How do I initiate a return, repair, or warranty claim?

Just email us at hello@quirkymoose.com (or hej@quirkymoose.dk). Include your order number, photos of the product, details of the defect or your return request, and we’ll walk you through the next steps.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept standard credit and debit card payments (Visa, Visa‑Dankort, Mastercard). All prices include VAT. For international / non‑Danish cards, the amount is reserved immediately, and we charge when the item is shipped.

We do not charge additional card or processing fees.

Can I return large items not eligible for standard mail returns?

Yes — for pieces such as cabinets, tables, or custom units that cannot be returned via ordinary parcel services, the return process may require freight or special handling. The maximum estimated return cost for such items is DKK 1,100 (unless otherwise agreed).

Who is responsible for return shipping costs?

If your return is due to a defect or justified complaint, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs (within reason). For returns due to a change of mind, customers are typically responsible for return shipping unless agreed otherwise.

Privacy and data handling

When you place an order, we collect personal data such as your name, address, phone number, and email. We retain this data for up to five years, after which it is deleted. We work only with data processors within the EU or in jurisdictions with adequate data protection.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. If you believe your data is being processed improperly or in violation of applicable laws, you may reach out to us or to relevant supervisory authorities.

Complaints and legal recourse

If you have an unresolved complaint, you can contact us via email. If we cannot reach a resolution, as a consumer in the EU you may submit your complaint via the EU online dispute resolution portal: http://ec.europa.eu/odr. If you reside in Denmark, you may escalate via Nævnenes Hus (Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg).
