Wasteless – An adjustable wall shelf made from our off-cuts
Wasteless is a wall-mounted shelf whose four leaf-shaped tiers pivot around a central oak rail, so you decide how it looks. Fan them out, stagger them, or angle each shelf to suit, then rearrange whenever the things you want on display change.
Built from our own off-cuts
Every Wasteless is made from the material left over when we cut our other pieces: an oak rail and through-coloured Valchromat® that would otherwise go to waste.
Four pivoting shelves for small things
Wasteless is designed for smaller, lighter items — keys, jewellery, a few small ceramics or travel keepsakes — each shelf angled just how you want it. It tucks neatly into an entryway, above a desk or into a corner of the living room.
Seven Valchromat® colours, coloured all the way through
Choose from seven shades: Blue, Light Grey, Khaki Green, Yellow, Orange, Green and Black. Valchromat® is coloured right through the board, so a knock or scratch shows the same colour underneath, not a pale core.
Made to order in our Copenhagen micro-factory
Each shelf is made to order in Copenhagen. If your colour shows as in stock, it ships within 1–2 working days. Screws and wall plugs suited to most wall types are included in the box.
1Drill two holesMark two points exactly 30 cm apart, one above the other, with a spirit level, and drill 10 mm holes straight into the wall. Tap in the wall plugs. In a wooden wall, just pre-drill 6 mm holes, no plugs needed.
2Screw in the wall screwsUse a T25 bit and screw them in until the brass washer sits tight against the wall, then slide the brass tubes over them.
3Fit it and turn the shelvesThe oak rail slides onto the wall screws, and you tighten the two set screws with a 3 mm Allen key. Then turn each shelf however you like.
Dimensions & sizes
33 cm high and 23 cm deep
One size in seven colours. The four shelves are 21 cm long and each turns on its own around the oak rail. The drawing follows the colour you choose.
The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant
I have had the pleasure of shopping at Quirky Moose several times, and every time has been a great success!
I have bought two stools, and they are not only stylish in lovely colours, they are also incredibly practical. They move around the house a bit and get used as a plant stand, a bedside table for overnight guests and, of course, as a stool.
We also had custom fronts made for a whole wall of cabinets that needed an update, and the result is simply fantastic.
Stig is full of creative ideas and gives a personal service at the same time. The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant. Top quality, and all of it sustainable 👌🏼

Tasteful and functional
We bought 3 products for our new house. We use "Balance" as a medicine cabinet in a spot where we could barely fit a cabinet with ordinary doors. It works really well. Our everyday shoes sit just inside the door in "Grounded". Neat, and it works. Finally we have a "Wasteless" shelf in the bathroom. All of it in the blue colour with beautiful oak dowels.
It is functional, and we feel it adds a unique style to our home.
Vi købte 3 produkter til vores nye hus. "Balance" bruger vi som medicinskab på et sted, hvor vi dårligt ville kunne få plads til et skab med almindelige låger. Det fungerer rigtig godt. Vores dagligdags sko sidder lige inden for døren i "Grounded". Nydeligt og det virker. Endelig har vi en "Wasteless" hylde på badeværelset. Alt sammen i den blå farve med smukke egestokke.
Det er funktionelt, og vi synes det tilfører vores hjem noget unik stil.

Good to know
Missing an answer? Write to us and we’ll reply from the workshop.
What is Wasteless made from?
Each Wasteless is built from an oak rail and four through-coloured Valchromat® shelves — off-cuts left over from our other pieces — finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil. It's high-quality material that would otherwise be scrapped.
What kind of items can I display on Wasteless?
Smaller, lighter items only — keys, jewellery, a few small ceramics, or travel keepsakes. Distribute the weight evenly across the shelves and avoid heavy objects.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives. If the finish needs refreshing, use Rubio Monocoat® Refresh Eco.
How is it installed?
Wasteless is wall-mounted — mark and drill the holes, insert the supplied wall plugs, and screw it to the wall. Screws and wall plugs suited to most wall types are included, along with an installation guide.

Materials & Finish
Oak (Central Rail)
A solid oak rail is the spine the shelves pivot on — warm to the touch, with a visible grain, and strong enough to carry all four.
Valchromat® (Shelves)
The four leaf-shaped shelves are made from wood fibre board coloured all the way through, with a soft matte surface. Scratch it and you'll find the same colour underneath.
Rubio Monocoat® (Finish)
Finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil that deepens colour, adds a silky touch, and protects against everyday spills and stains.
