Wasteless - Adjustable Wall Shelf
Tools Required:
You will need a 10MM drill, a T25 bit, and a HEX3 Allen key.
Parts Included:
The package includes all necessary components to install the Wasteless Wall Shelf, including the shelf unit itself, wall screws, raw plugs, copper washers and tubes, and pre-inserted pinion screws.
Installation Steps:
1. Measure and Mark
Mark where to drill on the wall according to the mounting points on the back of the central dowel of the shelf. Use a spirit level to ensure everything is aligned correctly.
Important! – Before drilling, always check the wall for pipes or electrical wiring using appropriate equipment.
2. Drill
Drill holes at the marked points using a 10MM drill bit. If mounting into a wooden wall, raw plugs are not needed. Instead, pre-drill 6MM pilot holes for the wall screws.
Important! – Always drill perpendicular to the wall to ensure a secure and accurate installation.
3. Insert Raw Plugs
If mounting into a solid wall (such as plaster, concrete, or brick), insert the provided 10MM raw plugs into the drilled holes. Skip this step for wooden walls.
4. Install Wall Screws
Place a copper washer onto each wall screw and drive the screws into the wall using a T25 bit, tightening until the washer sits flush against the wall.
Important! – Be careful not to overtighten the screws, as this may affect the stability of the shelf.
5. Attach Copper Tubes
Slide a copper tube over each exposed wall screw, covering the washer and screw head.
6. Mount the Wasteless Shelf
Place the Wasteless shelf onto the wall-mounted screws. Tighten the pre-inserted pinion screws on the back of the central dowel using a HEX3 Allen key to secure it in place.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Maintain the wood with furniture wax oil as needed. The copper elements can be polished using grade 0000 steel wool and optionally lacquered to prevent patination over time.
