Wasteless - Adjustable Wall Shelf
Tools Required:
- Drill with 10 mm bit
- T25 Driver Bit
- 3 mm Hex Key (Allen Key)
- Spirit Level
Parts Included:
The package includes all components required for installation:
- 1x Wasteless Wall Shelf (with pre-inserted Set Screws)
- T25 Mounting Screws
- Wall Plugs
- Brass Tubes
- Brass Washers
Installation Steps:
1. Measure and Mark
Hold the Wasteless Wall Shelf against the wall at the desired height. Use a spirit level to ensure it is straight. Mark the mounting points on the wall based on the holes in the central dowel.
Important: Before drilling, use a detector to check the wall for hidden pipes or electrical wiring.
2. Drill Holes
- For Masonry/Concrete Walls: Drill holes at the marked positions using a 10 mm drill bit.
- For Wooden Walls: Do not use the 10 mm bit. Instead, pre-drill 6 mm pilot holes for the Mounting Screws. Wall Plugs are not needed for wood.
Important: Always drill straight (perpendicular to the wall).
3. Insert Wall Plugs
Insert the provided 10 mm Wall Plugs into the drilled holes (Masonry/Concrete only).
4. Install Mounting Screws
Place a Brass Washer onto each T25 Mounting Screw. Using the T25 bit, drive the Mounting Screws into the wall (or Wall Plugs). Tighten until the washers sit flush against the wall.
5. Attach Brass Tubes
Slide a Brass Tube over each exposed Mounting Screw head, covering the washer and screw.
6. Mount the Shelf
Place the Wasteless Wall Shelf onto the wall-mounted screws/tubes. Secure the shelf by tightening the pre-inserted Set Screws on the back of the central dowel using the 3 mm Hex Key.
Important: Do not overtighten, as this may affect the stability of the shelf.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Wood: Treat with furniture wax oil as needed.
- Brass: Polish with grade 0000 steel wool. Optionally, apply varnish (lacquer) to prevent patina (aging).
