About Grounded
Grounded – A wall-mounted shoe rack that gives you the floor back
Most hallway shoe storage either looks like an afterthought or gets in the way. Grounded hangs on the wall instead, so your shoes come off the floor and even a narrow entryway has room to move. Solid oak, brass and a coloured Valchromat® Wall Protector make it something you're happy to look at, full or empty.
Lift your shoes off the floor
When shoes sit on the floor, dust gathers around them and cleaning underneath becomes a chore. Grounded hangs on the wall, leaving the floor entirely clear. Your robot vacuum moves freely, and a damp cloth is all you need to keep the area fresh.
The Valchromat® Wall Protector
The Wall Protector is made from Valchromat®, a wood fibre board coloured all the way through, and comes in nine colours. It sits flat against the wall, taking the scuffs and moisture your shoes would otherwise leave behind. And because it's coloured all the way through, the colour is part of the piece, not a coat on top.
Oak, brass and Rubio Monocoat®
The rail is solid oak, strong enough for heavy boots. Brass fittings connect the rail to the Wall Protector. The whole piece is finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil that deepens the wood’s natural tone and protects against everyday wear.
Two holes and it’s up
Drill two holes, fix it to the wall, hang your shoes. You’ll need a drill with a 10 mm bit, a T25 driver, a 3 mm Allen key and a spirit level. Screws and Fischer universal wall plugs are included, and they suit brick, concrete and plaster walls.
Five lengths, and they combine
Grounded comes in five lengths, from 50 cm to 200 cm. The longest holds up to eight pairs. Pair a 50 cm in one colour with a 100 cm in another, or stack two for double the capacity. Each one is handmade in our Copenhagen micro-factory, and we keep most sizes and colours in stock, so yours will usually ship within 1–2 working days.
Tip: Complete the set
Grounded was designed alongside the Adapt Coat Rack. Both use solid oak and brass hardware. Together they make the hallway look like one set.

Tasteful and functional
We bought 3 products for our new house. We use "Balance" as a medicine cabinet in a spot where we could barely fit a cabinet with ordinary doors. It works really well. Our everyday shoes sit just inside the door in "Grounded". Neat, and it works. Finally we have a "Wasteless" shelf in the bathroom. All of it in the blue colour with beautiful oak dowels. It is functional, and we feel it adds a unique style to our home.
