Can I use Bjørk as a side table?

Yes. Bjørk works equally well as a stool, a compact side table for books or a plant, or a spare seat when guests arrive.

What materials are used?

A birch frame paired with a Valchromat® top — all surfaces finished with Rubio Monocoat® hardwax oil for durability and a smooth feel.

What finish is on the wood?

The entire piece is treated with Rubio Monocoat® hardwax oil, enhancing the grain and providing a long-lasting, easy-care surface.

How do I care for the finish?

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry. Avoid harsh cleaners. For occasional maintenance, use Rubio Monocoat® Eco Refresh to revive protection and sheen.

Does it arrive assembled?

Yes — Bjørk arrives fully assembled and ready to use straight out of the box.

Is each stool unique?

Yes. Minor variations in grain and surface are natural characteristics of birch — part of what makes each stool its own. The colour, however, stays consistent: Valchromat® is coloured all the way through.

Which seat height should I choose — 43 cm or 46 cm?

43 cm works well as a side table or low seat. If you're using the stool at a dining table or desk, we recommend 46 cm — without a backrest, sitting slightly higher feels more comfortable in practice.

We bought three products for our new home. We're using the “Balance” cabinet as a medicine cabinet in a spot where a cabinet with regular doors simply wouldn’t fit. It works perfectly. Our everyday shoes are neatly stored in the “Grounded” unit just inside the door. It looks great and works really well.
