A single Grounded holds between 2 and 8 pairs of adult shoes, depending on the chosen length (50, 100, 150 or 200 cm). You can also combine multiple racks for larger households or entryways.

How do I clean or maintain the shoe rack?
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. The surface is finished with plant-based Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil and can be refreshed over time with Rubio Monocoat Refresh. Its floating design makes cleaning underneath effortless.

The wall-mounted design lifts your shoes off the floor — creating breathing room in even the narrowest of entryways — while the combination of solid oak, warm brass, and a Valchromat® backing gives it a quiet, considered look that holds its own on the wall.

When shoes sit on the floor, dust gathers around them and cleaning underneath becomes a chore. Grounded mounts flat to the wall, leaving the floor entirely clear. Your robot vacuum moves freely, and a damp cloth is all you need to keep the area fresh.
Valchromat® — colour that earns its place
The backplate is made from Valchromat® — a wood fibre board coloured all the way through — and comes in eight colours. It sits flat against the wall, taking the scuffs and moisture your shoes would otherwise leave behind. The rich, saturated colour becomes part of the design rather than hiding behind it.
Oak, brass, and Rubio Monocoat® — a finish worth keeping
The dowel is made from solid oak for natural strength and a warm, tactile feel. Brass fittings connect the dowel to the backing — details that age gracefully rather than degrading over time. The whole piece is finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil that deepens the wood’s natural tone and protects against everyday wear.

Mounting Grounded is genuinely simple — drill two holes, fix it to the wall, and start hanging shoes. No complicated brackets, no half-day project, no specialist tools.
Five lengths, endless combinations
Grounded comes in five lengths, from a compact 50 cm to a generous 200 cm — the longer racks hold eight pairs or more. Pair a 50 cm in one colour with a 100 cm in another, or stack two for double the capacity; the proportions and materials stay consistent however you arrange them. Each one is handmade in our Copenhagen micro-factory, and we keep most sizes and colours in stock — so your order ships quickly rather than leaving you waiting.
