Levitate Signature

Pull-down wall cabinet

Levitate hangs on a wall bracket and is screwed to the wall in six more places once it has been pulled down. The template, bracket, screws and wall plugs come in the box. It takes two people.

You'll need

  • Drill with an 8 mm bit (3 mm for a wooden wall)
  • T20 bit
  • Spirit level
  • Tape
  • Hammer
  • A second pair of hands

Before you drill

Run a detector over the wall first, so you don't drill into pipes or cables.

Choose the height: the underside of the cabinet sits 190–220 cm above the floor. Above a door, 44 cm of free wall is enough.

Always lift the cabinet with two people.

Step by step

  1. Tape up the template

    Tape the mounting template to the wall with at least 2 cm of free space all the way round, and use a spirit level to get it straight. Mark the 10 holes, then take the template down.

  2. Drill the holes

    Drill Ø8 mm holes at the 10 marks.

    Wooden wall: leave out the wall plugs and pre-drill Ø3 mm holes instead.

  3. Knock in the wall plugs

    Tap a wall plug into each hole with the hammer (not in a wooden wall).

  4. Screw on the wall bracket

    Screw the wall bracket to the wall with the T20 bit.

    Plasterboard: make sure the wall plugs have opened out fully behind the board, so the bracket sits firmly.

  5. Hang up the cabinet

    Lift the cabinet together and hang it on the wall bracket. Check that it sits centred on the bracket.

  6. Pull it down and screw it on

    One of you pulls the cabinet all the way down and holds it there, while the other screws it to the wall in the six remaining holes.

  7. Put in the shelves

    Set the shelf pins and shelves at the heights you want. Once there are things inside, the cabinet stays down when you pull it, and a push sends it back up. Keep the load to 8 kg at most.

Cleaning and care

  • Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
