About Grounded
Grounded – A wall-mounted shoe rack that gives you the floor back
Most hallway shoe storage either looks like an afterthought or gets in the way. Grounded hangs on the wall instead, so your shoes come off the floor and even a narrow hallway has room to move. Solid oak, brass and a coloured Valchromat® Wall Protector make it something you're happy to look at, full or empty.
Lift your shoes off the floor
When shoes sit on the floor, dust gathers around them and cleaning underneath becomes a chore. Grounded hangs on the wall, leaving the floor entirely clear. Your robot vacuum moves freely, and a damp cloth is all it takes to keep it clean.
The Valchromat® Wall Protector
The Wall Protector is made from Valchromat®, a wood fibre board coloured all the way through, and comes in nine colours. It sits flat against the wall, taking the scuffs and moisture your shoes would otherwise leave behind. And because it's coloured all the way through, the colour is part of the piece, not a coat on top.
Oak, brass and Rubio Monocoat®
The rail is solid oak, strong enough for heavy boots. Brass fittings connect the rail to the Wall Protector. The whole piece is finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil that deepens the wood’s natural tone and protects against everyday wear.
Two holes and it’s up
Drill two holes, fix it to the wall, hang your shoes. You’ll need a drill with a 10 mm bit, a T25 driver, a 3 mm Allen key and a spirit level. Screws and Fischer universal wall plugs are included, and they suit brick, concrete and plaster walls.
Five lengths, and they combine
Grounded comes in five lengths, from 50 cm to 200 cm. The longest holds up to eight pairs. Pair a 50 cm in one colour with a 100 cm in another, or stack two for double the capacity. Each one is handmade in our Copenhagen micro-factory, and we keep most sizes and colours in stock, so yours will usually ship within 1–2 working days.
Tip: Complete the set
Grounded was designed alongside the Adapt oak coat rack. Both use solid oak and brass hardware. Together they make the hallway look like one set.

What our customers are saying
Love my nice shoe rack – fast delivery, well packed and easy to mount (for my carpenter :-)
Fantastic!
Super recommended, fast shipping and great product! I've purchased Grounded (shoe rack), it fits everywhere, the materials are excellent, the design very nice! I'm definitely fan!
The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant
I have had the pleasure of shopping at Quirky Moose several times, and every time has been a great success! I have bought two stools, and they are not only stylish in lovely colours, they are also incredibly practical. They move around the house a bit and get used as a plant stand, a bedside table for overnight guests and, of course, as a stool. We also had custom fronts made for a whole wall of cabinets that needed an update, and the result is simply fantastic. Stig is full of creative ideas and gives a personal service at the same time. The buying experience is always efficient and pleasant. Top quality, and all of it sustainable 👌🏼
I have just received the Balance cabinet and I am absolutely thrilled with it. It complements my bathroom wall perfectly and adds a quirky yet elegant touch to the space. The communication with the company went very smoothly and was a pleasure throughout. 5/5.
Fantastic experience with Quirkymoose!
We recently bought a Nic Nac trinket shelf from Quirkymoose, and we could not be happier! The shelf is both stylish and practical, and it fits perfectly into our home. The quality is really high, and it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Delivery was fast, and the service from start to finish was excellent. We can warmly recommend Quirkymoose to anyone looking for beautiful and functional furniture. We are sure we will come back to them when we need more furniture in the future!
Great product, excellent customer experience
I just received my NicNac shelf, and it is really cool! Quirky Moose was very responsive to my questions, the entire order process was impeccable, shipping to Germany worked without any problems. Many thanks, Frank
Tasteful and functional
We bought 3 products for our new house. We use "Balance" as a medicine cabinet in a spot where we could barely fit a cabinet with ordinary doors. It works really well. Our everyday shoes sit just inside the door in "Grounded". Neat, and it works. Finally we have a "Wasteless" shelf in the bathroom. All of it in the blue colour with beautiful oak dowels. It is functional, and we feel it adds a unique style to our home.
A very functional and beautiful cabinet
We bought the Balance cabinet in the lovely blue version. It is beautiful craftsmanship, very functional and very beautiful. Warmly recommended.
very well made products
The delivery company messed up but the guys at quirky moose went the extra mile to sort it. the product looks fab and is well made and designed, recommend them
Great service, the most beautiful product!
Good communication all the way through, great service and, most importantly: I love my beautiful Nic Nac trinket shelf :)
