About NicNac
NicNac – A frame for the things you like looking at
NicNac is our original trinket shelf: a square frame with room for the objects you'd otherwise lose on a windowsill. It works on its own above a sideboard or sofa, and just as well grouped into a larger wall arrangement.
Asymmetric compartments in a square frame
The outline is a plain square; inside, the compartments are asymmetric, so it never looks like a grid. Each section is sized differently, so a small ceramic, a stack of books, or a taller vase all find a place that suits them.
Valchromat®: colour that goes all the way through
NicNac is made from Valchromat®, a wood fibre board coloured all the way through. This isn't a painted surface. Scratch it and you'll find the same colour underneath. Choose from eight colours, from Sand, Light Grey and Black to the brighter Yellow, Orange and Green.
Shallow enough to stay out of the way
NicNac is only 8 to 12 cm deep, depending on size, so it stays close to the wall. It gives a bare wall something to look at without getting in the way in a narrow hallway or a busy living room.
Handmade in our Copenhagen micro-factory
Every NicNac is cut, assembled, sanded and oiled by hand in our workshop. It comes in three square sizes, 50×50, 70×70 and 90×90 cm, so there's a size for a small wall and one that fills a big one. How it works
It hangs on a hidden wall bracket

1Measure and drillMark the holes exactly 20 cm apart with a spirit level: 3 marks for 50 cm, 4 for 70 cm and 5 for 90 cm. Drill Ø6 mm holes for all sizes.

2Screw the bracket to the wallPush the wall plugs into the holes and screw the bracket on. Bracket, plugs and screws are included.

3Hang the shelfThe hook on the back of the shelf slides down onto the bracket, and the shelf hangs level.

Tasteful and functional
We bought 3 products for our new house. We use "Balance" as a medicine cabinet in a spot where we could barely fit a cabinet with ordinary doors. It works really well. Our everyday shoes sit just inside the door in "Grounded". Neat, and it works. Finally we have a "Wasteless" shelf in the bathroom. All of it in the blue colour with beautiful oak dowels. It is functional, and we feel it adds a unique style to our home.
