Wall mounted shoe racks, handmade in Copenhagen from solid oak and Valchromat®.
A shoe rack that hangs on the wall solves something a floor rack cannot: it gives the floor back. In a narrow hallway that is usually the only space there is. Our range is one design — Grounded — in five lengths and eight colours, so it fits the wall you actually have rather than the wall a catalogue assumed.

Grounded – Wall-Mounted Shoe Rack in Solid Oak
Regular price From 1 567,00 krRegular priceSale price From 1 567,00 kr
A rack on the wall leaves the floor clear from skirting board to skirting board. A robot vacuum passes straight under, and the unbroken sightline is what makes a narrow hallway read as wider.
A solid oak dowel on a through-coloured wall plate, joined with brass and finished in Rubio Monocoat®. Scratch the colour and the same colour is underneath.
Every rack is cut, sanded and oiled by hand in our Copenhagen micro-factory, with most lengths and colours kept in stock.
The Wall Plate Does the Quiet Work
Shoes leave marks. Damp soles, a heel scuffed against the skirting, grit carried in from the street — on a bare wall that becomes a stripe of grey you repaint every other year.
Behind the oak dowel sits a plate of Valchromat®, wood fibre board coloured all the way through. It lies flat against the wall and takes that wear instead of your paintwork. Eight colours, so the part that protects the wall is also the part you notice on it.
Why a wall mounted shoe rack suits a small hallway
Shoes standing on the floor collect dust around them, and vacuuming underneath means moving everything first. A rack fixed to the wall leaves the floor clear from skirting board to skirting board — a robot vacuum passes straight under, and a damp cloth does the rest. The sightline along the floor stays unbroken, which is what makes a narrow hallway read as wider than it is.
A floor standing shoe cabinet wins on one thing: hidden capacity behind doors. If you have the floor to give and a household of shoes to put away, that is a fair trade. In most flats it isn't.
Five lengths, from 50 to 200 cm
Grounded comes in 50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 cm. The 50 cm rack takes two to three pairs; the 200 cm takes eight or more. Capacity scales with width rather than height, so you can also hang a second rack below the first and double what the same stretch of wall carries — useful for a family, or for keeping children's shoes at a height they can reach themselves.
Eight colours in Valchromat®
The wall plate is Valchromat® — wood fibre board coloured all the way through, with a softly matte surface. It sits flat against the wall and takes the scuffs and damp that shoes would otherwise leave on your paintwork. Scratch it and the same colour is underneath, which is why the colour reads as part of the piece rather than a coat on top of it.
Solid oak, brass and Rubio Monocoat®
The dowel the shoes hang over is made from solid oak, chosen for strength and for how it feels under the hand. Brass fittings join the dowel to the wall plate. The whole piece is finished with Rubio Monocoat®, a plant-based hard wax oil that deepens the tone of the wood and protects it against everyday wear.
Two holes and it is on the wall
Mounting takes two holes and two screws — no rails, no brackets, no special tools, and nothing that needs a second pair of hands. Handmade in our Copenhagen micro-factory, with most sizes and colours kept in stock, so it ships quickly.
Questions people ask before buying
How deep should a shoe rack be?
Deep enough to hold the shoe and no deeper. Grounded stands 12 cm from the wall, which takes an adult shoe at an angle without projecting into a hallway you have to walk through.
How high should a wall mounted shoe rack hang?
Hang it so the lowest shoes clear the floor by a few centimetres — for a single row that usually means 15 to 25 cm up. Leave 20 to 25 cm above the first row if you add a second, so taller shoes still fit underneath.
How many pairs does it hold?
Two to three pairs on a 50 cm rack, eight or more on a 200 cm. Hang a second row below and the same wall carries twice as much.
